Title:
SILK REELING FROM COCOON
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04370208
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reel silk from cocoons with a low percentage defective by employing respective processes such as drying, cocoon boiling, cocoon sorting and reeling cocoon and further employing another cocoon sorting process for removal of missorted inferior cocoons between the cocoon boiling process and the reeling cocoon process for the purpose of removal of inferior cocoons difficult to sort by appearance inspection sorting.

CONSTITUTION: In a cocoon drying process 1, raw cocoons 1 are transferred on an endless conveyor and treated with hot air of 120-130°C to prepare dry cocoons and the resultant dry cocoons are, after temporary cocoon storage 2, taken out as necessary to sort and remove only inferior cocoons capable of distinct judgment in a cocoon sorting process 4'. In a cocoon boiling process 3, the cocoons are distributed into many cocoon-boiling basket chambers made of a net and attached to an endless chain in a state where the basket is divided into many divisions. These cocoons are continuously immersed into water for heating in order to dissolve components mutually bonding baves. For the purpose of removal of inferior cocoons which were not distinguished in the appearance inspection of the dry cocoons, a further sorting process 4 is employed before a reeling cocoon process 5. After the sorting process 4, reeling cocoon is carried out in the reeling cocoon process 5, thus carrying out the objective reeling cocoon in a condition of a low percentage defective of cocoon.
