To obtain a new UV cutting natural material having wide range ultraviolet(UV) absorptivity, capable of widely using for cosmetics, clothes, daily necessaries, contact lens or the like by crushing wild silkworm thread (cocoon of wild silkworm or silk thread obtained from them) to fine grains.
The material obtained by crushing the wild silkworm silk thread to fine grains. The objective material is preferably obtained by drying the wild silkworm cocoon shell, for example, the cocoon shell of Antheraea peenyi or the like and crushing to fine grains. This powdery natural material is capable of adding almost the same amount of the conventional chemically synthesized UV absorbers for example, to cosmetics, plastics or the like. The natural material having synergistically enhanced functions such as UV cutting effect or the like is preferably obtained by mixing natural dyes originating from plants such as turmeric, indigo or the like to this natural material.
