Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to form a cyan dye-forming picture superior in both of hue and color image fastness by incorporating at least one kind of specified cyan dye-forming coupler and at least each one of 2 kinds of specified compounds in an emulsion layer.
SOLUTION: The emulsion layer contains at least one kind of cyan dye- forming coupler represented by formula I and at least each one of 2 kinds of compounds represented by formulae II and III, and in formulae I-III, each of R1 and R2 is electron attractive group having a Hammett's substituent constant σp of ≥0.20; R3 is a substituent; X is an H atom or the like; Y is a substituent; L is a single bond; Ra1 is an alkyl group; when L is a single bond, it expresses further a radical (.); Ra2 is an alkyl or the like; Ra3 is an alkenyl or the like; each of Rb1 and Rb2 is an aliphatic group or the like; Rb3 is a substituent; and each of (m) and (n) is an integer of 0-5. As a result, the obtained cyan dye is high in sensitivity to light in the wavelength region ranging from ultraviolet rays to visible light.
