Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a silver halide color photographic sensitive material having significantly improved color fastness of a dye image against light, by incorporating at least one kind of thermotropic polymer liquid crystal. SOLUTION: This silver halide color photographic sensitive material contains at least one kind of thermotropic polymer liquid crystal. Moreover, the photographic material contains a thermotropic polymer liquid crystal expressed by formula I, formula II or formula III, or at least one kind of thermotropic polymer liquid crystal as a combination of compds. expressed by the formula I, formula II or formula III. In the formulae, A1 , A2 and A3 are each an alicyclic or aromatic group, X1 , X2 , Y1 and Y2 are each a connecting group, k, l are 0 or 1, Y3 is a substituent, B is a methyl group or hydrogen atom, n is the number of repeating units. Thereby, the obtd. silver halide color photographic sensitive material has significantly improved color fastness of a dye image against light and excellent color developing property.
