PURPOSE: To improve sharpness and desilverability by incorporating a specified compound as a yellow dye forming color coupler.

CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive material contains as the yellow dye forming color coupler the compound represented by formula I in an amount of 0.01W10g/m2, preferably, 0.05W5g/m2, especially, 0.05W2g/m2 and said material also incorporates at least one of components represented by formulae II and III, thus permitting desilverability to be improved. In these formulae, each of M and N is a group substitutable at the benzene ring, such as halogen, a 1W20C aliphatic group, a 6W20C aromatic group, or the like; A is an n-valent aliphatic, aromatic, or heterocyclic bonding group; X is -O-, -S-, or the like; and Y is an anion.
