In the silver halide color photosensitive material having photosensitive layers containing a silver halide emulsion on a support, a surfactant represented by a general formula (1) or formula (2) is contained and at least one of the photosensitive layers contains a dye forming coupler represented by formula (a) wherein R represents a substituent; Z represents a group of atoms required to form an N-containing 6- or 7-membered ring in combination with -N-C=N-; R' represents a substituent; n represents an integer of 0-4; X represents H or a substituent; and A represents H or a group which can be released in coupling with an oxidant of a coupling main agent.
