The silver halide color photosensitive material has, on a support, photographic constituent layers comprising at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a cyan dye forming coupler, at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a magenta dye forming coupler, at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing a yellow dye forming coupler, and at least one non-photosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer, wherein a total coating weight of silver in the photographic constituent layers is ≤0.5 g/m2, at least one of the silver halide emulsion layers contains a selenium sensitized silver halide emulsion containing ≥90 mol% of silver chloride, and at least one layer of the silver halide emulsion layers containing the yellow dye forming coupler contains at least one of the couplers shown by formula (I).
