Title:
SILVER HALIDE EMULSION AND PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL AND PRODUCTION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000019668
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a silver halide emulsion and a photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity, excellent graininess, excellent pressure characteristics, low fogging, preservable property of performance with time, preservable property of a latent image and temp. and humidity dependence of changes in the latent image.

This silver halide emulsion contains silver halide particles and a dispersion medium. In the silver halide particles, ≥50% of the projected area of the particles are planer silver halide particles having ≥5 aspect ratio and the coefft. of variation in the particle size distribution is ≤20%. The silver iodide content on the surface of the planer silver halide particle is higher than the average silver iodide content of the particle. The particle has dislocation lines in the center region and the outer peripheral region of the principal plane, has silver nuclei in the center region, has chalcogenide silver nuclei in the outer peripheral region and the has ≥10 dislocation lines per one particle in the outer peripheral region.
