Title:
SILVER HALIDE EMULSION, SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL CONTAINING THE SAME AND ITS IMAGE FORMING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3734926
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the sliver halide emulsion superior in sensitivity to graininess ratio by incorporating specified flat silver halide grains occupying specified percentage or more of the projection area of the total silver halide grains.
SOLUTION: The flat silver bromoidide grains have an aspect ratio of 2-30 and each comprises a flat part and/or protuberances attached to a fringe or corners. There flat grains having corresponding circuit diameters of projection area of 0.08-0.5 μm occupy ≥80%, and the silver halide composition of these flat parts comprises silver iodobromide and the silver halide composition and/or its content in the protuberances may be same or different as or from those of the flat parts but it is better to be different. The silver halide composition of the protuberances is silver iodobromochloride or iodobromide or bromochloride or bromide or chloride, and it is preferred to adsorb on the principal flat parts, and at that time, on the fringe and the corners than the flat parts.
