Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material which suppresses fogging due to enhanced sensitivity while enhancing the photographic sensitivity of a photographic emulsion and ensures little increase of fog even when stored at high temperature and high humidity and under such severe conditions as exposure to harmful gas generated in combustion, such as car exhaust emission. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material contains a compound having a cyclic structure substituted by a reducing group capable of further releasing one or more electrons in connection with a cleavage reaction of the cyclic structure after one-electron oxidation.
