Title:
SILVER HALIDE EMULSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3364350
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a silver halide emulsion giving the silver halide photographic sensitive material improved in sensitivity to graininess ratio and enhanced in pressure resistance.
CONSTITUTION: The silver halide emulsion comprises flat silver halide grains each having a diameter of ≤0.6μm in terms of a corresponding circle and an aspect ratio of ≥1.5 and dislocation lines localized substantially only in a fringe part and amounting to ≥60% of the projection areas of the total silver halide grains, and it contains flat silver halide grains each having ≥10 dislocation lines in an amount of ≥50 number % of the total silver halide grains, and the total silver halide grains in this emulsion have a surface silver iodide content of ≤3mol% measured by the X ray photoelectron spectrometry (XPS).
