Title:
SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002258428
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a high contrast and high sensitivity silver halide photographic sensitive material.

In the silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one silver halide emulsion layer on the base, at least one compound of the formula (X)l-(L)m-(A-B)n is contained and the sensitive material has a characteristic curve with gamma of ≥5.0 in the optical density range of 0.3-3.0 as a characteristic curve shown on rectangular coordinate axes having equal unit lengths of logarithmic light exposure (x-axis) and optical density (y-axis). In the formula, X is a silver halide adsorptive group or a light absorbing group having at least one N, S, P, Se or Te atom; L is a divalent linking group having at least one atom selected from C, N, S and O; A is an electron donative group; B is a releasable group or H and forms a radical A. when released or deprotonated after oxidation; (l) and (m) are each an integer of 0-3; and (n) is 1 or 2.
