Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a silver halide photographic sensitive material improved in scratch-like fog and antitackiness and high in sensitivity and further having antistatickness and a high covering power and capable of forming a pure black tone silver image.
CONSTITUTION: The silver halide photographic sensitive material is characterized by containing flat silver halide grains having an aspect ratio of ≥3 sensitized with a selenium compound and a polymer latex polymerized from at least one kind of monomer having a solubility of ≤0.025weight% in water at 25°C in a hydrophilic colloidal layer located farthest from a support.
