Title:
SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3729376
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectrally sensitized silver halide photographic sensitive material having high sensitivity.
SOLUTION: This silver halide photographic sensitive material has a silver halide emulsion layer containing a silver halide photographic emulsion in which the surfaces of spectrally sensitized planer silver halide particles having the average aspect ratio of ≥8 and ≤100 show ≥100 light absorption intensity by a sensitizing dye per unit surface area. However, when the surfaces are spectrally sensitized by light having a ≤500 nm spectral absorption max. wavelength, the light absorption intensity is made to ≥60 and <100. The light absorption intensity by the sensitizing dye per unit surface area is defined as an integral value of an optical density Log (I0/(I0-I)) for a wave number (cm-1), wherein I0 is the quantity of incident light per unit surface area of the particle, I is the quantity of light absorbed by the sensitizing dye on the surface and the integrated range is made from 5000 cm-1 to 35000 cm-1.
