To provide the silver halide photographic sensitive material improved in sharpness and secular storage stability by incorporating no coagulant in an emulsion and an azaindene derivative and/a specified compound in an emulsion layer and/or a nonphotosensitive layer.

The halide emulsion in the emulsion layer contains no coagulant and the emulsion layer and/or the nonphotosensitive layer contains the azaindene derivative and/or at least one kind of compound selected from among formulae I-IV in which each of R1 and R2 is an aliphatic or aromatic or heterocyclic group; n1 is an integer of 2-8; each of R3 and R4 is an aromatic or heterocyclic group; each of R5-R8 is, independently, an H or halogen atom or an alkyl group or the like; Y is an atomic group necessary to form an aromatic or hetero ring; Z is an O or S atom; B is a group capable of adsorbing silver halide in the form of B alone or Z-B; each of R9-R11 is an H atom or an aliphatic group or the like; and X1 is an ion necessary to neutralize an intramolecular charge.
