PURPOSE: To obtain the titled material having high sensitivity and high covering power by incorporating silver halide particles which has a size distribution curve having ≥2 peaks and has a specific interval of between a mode of the max. peak and a mode of the peak adjacent to the max. peak in the modes of each peaks, to the titled material.
CONSTITUTION: The size distribution curve of the silver halide particles contd. in an emulsion layer has ≥2 peaks. The interval of between the mode A of the max. peak and the mode B of the peak adjacent to the max. peak is ≥0.10μ and <0.30μ. If the peak adjacent to the max. peak presents 2 peaks, the higher peak is adopted. Thus, the sensitivity of the titled material is improved by the silver halide particle group having a large mode (max. frequency value), namely a large particle size in the size distribution curve. While, the covering power is improved by the silver halide particle group having a small mode, namely a small particle size in the size distribution curve.
