PURPOSE: To improve the film property, especially, the dimensional stability and the devitrification of a hydrophilic colloidal layer by incorporating a polymer latex having sulfinic acid group or oxysulfonic group in the hydrophilic colloidal layer provided on a supporting body which is subjected to undercoating.

CONSTITUTION: The titled material comprises one or more layers of the hydrophilic colloidal layers provided on the supporting body which is subjected to the undercoating, and at least one layer of the hydrophilic colloidal layers contains the polymer latex having the sulfinic acid group or the oxysulfonic group. The compounding ratio of a monomer having the sulfinic acid group or the oxysulfonic group contd in the polymer of the latex is preferably ≥10mol.%, and said polymer latex may be incorporated in all hydrophilic colloidal layers of a photographic constituting layer. Thus, the titled material having excellent dimensional stability and the devitrification and the good film property is obtd. And, the obtd. titled material is widely available for α-olefin polymer laminated paper, a synthetic paper, various kinds of plastic films, glass, metal and an earthware, etc.
