To automate the operation of a data collection/delivery device by providing a transmission/reception switching switch in a portable terminal equipment and a transmission/reception switching switch detection means in the data collection/delivery device.

In the case of transmitting data from the portable terminal equipment 100, a transmitting data preparing means 102 prepares data in a transmitting/receiving data storing device 103 to set a transmission switching switch 104 and a first transmission/reception means 105 in a transmitting state. The data collection/delivery device 200 detects the state of the switching switch 104 by means of the transmission/reception switching switch detection means 201 to set a second transmission/reception means 202 in a receiving state and stores transmitted data in a second transmitting/receiving data storing device 203. On the other hand, in the case of transmitting data from the device 200, the equipment 100 sets the switching switch 104 and the means 105 in a receiving state by means of a reception prompting means 101 and the device 200 sets the means 202 in a transmitting state by means of the switching switch detection means 201 to transmit data stored in the device 203.
