Title:
SIMPLE CONFIRMING METHOD OF AUTOMOBILE SPEED
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6033051
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To judge a rough running speed clearly without looking at a speedometer by displaying a maximum, mimimum, or center speed numerically at fixed intervals of speeds, and installing an indication board which indicates the speeds by lighting where it can easily be seen during a drive.

CONSTITUTION: Six electrode plates 4 corresponding to every 10Km/hr speed gradations within the range of normal running speeds, i.e. between 40 and 100Km/ hr are provided so that the tail end 3 of a needle 2 of the speedometer contacts them, and electric circuits 5, 5aW5e where pilot lamps PL1WPL6 are interposed are formed between the electrode plates 4 and the needle 2; and number plates 6, 6aW6e are provided for respective sections to constitute one lighting indication board A, which is installed at an easy-to-see place, for example, the lower end of a rearview mirror, etc. When the speed of the running automobile enters some speed section, the tail end 3 of the pointer 2 contacts the corresponding electrode plate 4 to turn on the pilot lamp PL, so that the number on the number plate 6 appears.
