Abstract:

To provide a simple production method of a trifluoromethyl phthalonitrile derivative and a phthalocyanine derivative.

The inventors have succeeded in simple synthesis of trifluoromethyl phthalonitrile by using aromatic coupling reaction with iodophthalonitrile that is an existing compound. It is a functional pigment that is a raw material of trifluoromethyl phthalocyanine and can be applied to pharmaceuticals, photosensitive solar cells, and optical materials.
