To provide a simple and economical automatic tire demounting device, and a tire removal machine equipped with the same.
An automatic device 9 for demounting a tire 6 from the relative wheel rim 5 is provided with a rotary means associated with a frame 7 which supports a demounting tool 15 and is connected with a means enabling it to be positioned in a tire bead seeking and gripping position for supporting the wheel rim 5 complete with the tire 6. In the tire bead seeking and gripping position, the tool 15 is perpendicular to an axis or orientated towards the center of the wheel rim 5. The automatic device 9 is provided with a bar 14 whose end is hinged to the tool 15 in an intermediate position for extracting the tire bead from the wheel rim 5 at the position, and a connecting rod 25, one end of which is hinged to one end of the tool 15, and the opposite end of which is connected to the bar 14 by a lever linkage. The bar 14 being connected to the means for advancing and reversing it.
