Abstract:

To provide simulated texture on a uniform print media substrate.

A method includes receiving a primary image as input data and receiving textured image data for rendering a perceivable non-uniform texture on a printed output of the primary image. The primary image input data is used for determining low density coverage portions and high density coverage portions. The method further includes rendering perceivable texture in the low density coverage portions of an output image, and rendering perceivable texture in the high density coverage portions of the output image.
