Abstract:
To enable the optical adjustment of a radar to be easily performed indoors.SOLUTION: A simulation system 10 comprises: a bench testing machine 12; a target simulator 44 for receiving electromagnetic waves transmitted by a radar 94 as an external sensor 82, as well as transmitting pseudo-reflected waves reflected by a target 72 in a virtual environment toward the radar 94 at timing that corresponds to the relative positions of a vehicle 80 and the target 72 in a virtual environment (virtual environment for adjusting the optical axis of the radar 94); and a movement mechanism 46 for moving the target simulator 44, on a straight line extending in the longitudinal direction from the radar 94 and separated by a prescribed distance in the lateral direction of the vehicle 80, at a speed that corresponds to the relative speeds of the vehicle 80 and the target 72 in the virtual environment.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
