PURPOSE: To provide a simulator for controller suitable for simulating a controller at exact timing corresponding to a simulation object even when there is no simulation object by controlling the timing to generate test data at the same generation timing as result data.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a test mechanism 8 for receiving the result data and generating the test data from the result data, test data receiving mechanism 9 for receiving the test data from the test mechanism 8, and switch control mechanism 6 for switching data to either the result data or the test data and outputting them. In the case of generating the test data, at the timing to generate the test data while referring to timing control data, the test data are generated from data required for control and the generated test data are outputted from the test mechanism 8 through the test data receiving mechanism 9 to the switch control mechanism 6. Thus, the timing to generate the test data is made equal with a real machine.
