Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently form a thin film simultaneously such as a hard coating layer (protection film) and an antireflection film on both surfaces of an eyeglass lens by the dry processing and to individually control the physical property value of the thin film formed on both surfaces of the eyeglass lens.
SOLUTION: In a method simultaneously forming a film on both surfaces of an eyeglass lens, the eyeglass lens is mounted on a planar substrate holder 21, introduced into a vacuum chamber 11, the substrate holder 21 is rotated in the horizontal direction, monomer gas and the plasma of reaction gas are supplied to the both surface sides of the eyeglass lens and the monomer gas is reacted with the plasma-like reaction gas. The thin film composed of the reacted product is simultaneously formed on both surfaces of the eyeglass lens.
