To provide a single core bi-directional transmission/reception module that makes bending of an optical axis possible at a prescribed angle for an outgoing beam from a semiconductor laser without conducting a complicated positional adjustment operation of a lens.
The single core bi-directional transmission/reception module is equipped with a semiconductor laser 2, a photodiode 3, a first wavelength selective filter 4 and an optical fiber 13. The transmission light emitted from a semiconductor laser 2 forms an image on an optical fiber end face 13a through the first wavelength selective filter 4 and a lens 8. A signal light emitted from the optical fiber 13 is made incident on the photodiode 3 through the lens 8 and the first wavelength selective filter 4. Between the optical fiber 13 and the lens 8, a second wavelength selective filter 10 is arranged that tilts a face 10a opposing the optical fiber 13 at a prescribed angle to a face orthogonal to the optical axis of the transmission light, bending the optical axis of the incident transmission light at a prescribed angle.
