Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a single phase induction motor with a large starting torque and small size.SOLUTION: The single phase induction motor includes: a plurality of main windings wound around a stator; an auxiliary winding wound around the stator at a predetermined angle with respect to the plurality of main windings and connected in parallel to the plurality of main windings; a capacitor connected in series with the auxiliary winding; and switching means for switching between a first main winding and a second main winding of the plurality of main windings between a parallel connection and a series connection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
