Abstract:

To provide a sintered steel which does not need an additive and has not only strength but also ductility which has been conventionally considered to be difficult to have.

The sintered steel has a duplex grain structure comprising a nanocrystal ferrite and a microcrystal ferrite formed from pure iron. The method for manufacturing the sintered steel includes adjusting the area ratio of the nanocrystal ferrite to the microcrystal ferrite by adjusting a sintering temperature.
