Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skating toy which can switch directions with a simple control by reversing motors, while accomplishing skating operations unavailable in the conventional toys in which walking is made by stepping firmly on running surfaces.
SOLUTION: Free wheels 4 are arranged respectively at front parts of feet parts 3 of leg members 2 and driving wheels 5 respectively at rear parts thereof. The driving wheels 5 of the leg members 2 turned backward are separated from the running surface so as to make the free wheels 4 alone contact the running surface. At the body part 1, there are arranged the first drive mechanism C for turning the leg members 2 forward or backward, the second drive mechanism D for rotating the driving wheels 5 and a motor 30 for driving the two drive mechanism, a detection means 61 for detecting the turning positions of the leg members 2, and a control part 75 for controlling the rotation of the motor 30. The normal or opposite rotation of the motor 30 is controlled based on control signals transmitted from a remote controller B and the result in the detection by the detection means 61.
