PURPOSE: To extend the change range of the outlet-side diameter without deteriorate thickness deviation by arranging fixed type guide shoes facing to each other across the pass line by dividing them on the inlet side and the outlet side of the rolling rolls of a rolling device in the axial direction of tube.

CONSTITUTION: A material 11 to be rolled is rolled by revolving barrel-shaped rolling rolls 12A, 12B and worked into a hollow tube stock 15. Two pairs of the guide shoes 13, 14 facing to each other across the pass line are arranged in series from the inlet side toward the outlet side in the axial direction of tube. The material 11 to be rolled is supported in a fixed position with the guide shoe 13 which is arranged on the inlet side of a gorge and thickness deviation due to whirling is suppressed. The outside diameter on the outlet side is determined with the guide shoe 14 which is arranged on the outlet side of the gorge. Without being affected by conditions for eliminating whirling, the outside diameter of the hollow tube stock 15 is determined.
