PURPOSE: To obtain a ski plate which prevents overdeflection and permits easy turning operation by loosely fitting a reinforcing member having rigidity higher than the rigidity of a ski plate body into the hollow part of this body in such a manner that this member is fixed into the hollow member when the body curves to some curvature or above.

CONSTITUTION: This ski plate is formed of the ski plate body 5 and the hollow part 7 formed in this body on the side lower than a neutral axis 2 of a longitudinal bending mold. The reinforcing member 7 having the rigidity higher than the rigidity of the ski plate body 5 is loosely fitted into the hollow part 7 in such a manner that this member is fixed in the hollow part 7 when the body 5 bends to some curvature or above. As a result, the rigidity of the ski plate is increased by the reinforcing member 6, by which the increase of the deflection quantity is so suppressed as not to increase more than needed when the ski plate deflects more than the designed deflection quantity. Suitable deflection is obtd. even if the load in the first half of a turn is small. The ski plate does not deflect more than the designed deflection even if the load in the second half of the turn and, therefore, the deflection of the ski plate ideal in the general turns is obtd.
