Abstract:
PURPOSE: To supply a ski stick which has no fine splits produced by its contact to the edge of a ski during skiing, does not degrade appearance nor hurt human body, and is not damaged from fine splits, and to also provide the method of its production.
CONSTITUTION: It is a ski stick composed of plural fiber-reinforced resin layers. Its ultimate outside layer which is hit by the edge, at least, during skiing is made of a stitch-shaped metallic foil and resin. In its production method where plural fiber-reinforced resin layers formed on a mandrel and thermally hardened, the ultimate outside layer made of the stitch-shaped metallic foil and resin is rolled in glass cloth, which is then removed by grinding after being thermally hardened.
