Abstract:
To provide a differential steering device for a skid steered LATV which enables safe and smooth driving and steering even if a road condition remarkably changes while a vehicle is running a corner at a fast speed.SOLUTION: A skid steered All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV)includes: two drive devices that drive wheels or caterpillars at respective sides of a vehicle; and a differential steering device provided with differential gears. The ATV is a Lightweight ATV (LATV). The differential steering device is configured to produce a defined differential speed between the two drive devices of the vehicle relating to the steering angle of the differential steering device regardless of the road condition on which the vehicle runs. Additional steering driving force acts on the differential gears.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
