Abstract:

To provide a skid supporting beam which reduces the heat loss of a heating furnace by reducing the heat loss deprived from a metallic material to be heated through the refractory coating layer of the skid supporting beam and solving the problem of skid marks and a process for producing the same.

This skid supporting beam is constituted by coating the surface of the skid supporting beam 1, which is coated with refractories, with a ceramic fiber layer 6. This process for producing the skid supporting beam consists in forming the ceramic fiber layer by a spraying method. The front surface of the ceramic fiber layer is coated with an oxide layer contg. one or ≥2 kinds of Al2O3, MgO, ZrO2 and Cr2O3 at ≥70% in total to improve scale resistance. A reflection layer contg. one or ≥2 kinds of TiO2, ZrO2 and Cr2O3 at ≥50% in total is formed between the refractory coating layer and the ceramic fiber layer, by which radiation heat transfer may be reduced.
