Abstract:
To obtain a skin care preparation which has a synergistically enhanced inhibitory action on melanin formation, is effective for preventing and improving pigmentation after sunburn, freckle, brown spot, liver spot, or the like, and has an extremely improved bleaching effect on the skin and high safety.
This skin care preparation is formulated with one or more kinds selected from L-ascorbic acid and its salt or its derivative except an ascorbic acid glycoside, hinokitiol and its derivative, hydroquinone and its derivative, cysteine and its derivative, glucosamine and its derivative, azelaic acid and its derivative, an extract of placenta and an extract from a plant/alga having an inhibitory action on melanin production and an extract of a plant of the genus Arctostaphylos, especially an extract of leaves of Arctostaphylos uva-ursi (L.) Spreng.
