Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a skin contact device for treating skin by making water vapor contained within a closed layer permeate through a film layer freely, and arranging a ventilating means between the inner surface of the closed layer and the film layer in order to prevent permeation of a drug through the film layer.
CONSTITUTION: A closed layer 12 having an outer surrounding part 14 is arranged below a film layer 8 having an outer surrounding part 10, and the closed layer 12 is fixed below the film layer 8 by an adhesive 16. A drug layer 18 that is held within a surrounding part 14 of the closed layer 12 is preferably arranged below the closed layer. In order to prevent accumulation of water vapor and water exceeding a desired degree within the closed layer 12, multiple slender slits 22a-22e extending over the closed layer 12 are arranged as a means for permeating water vapor. The distance for transfer of water vapor from an optional position within the closed layer 12 below the closed layer 12 prior to reaching the slits in a side direction can be markedly shortened owing to the presence of the slits 22a-22e.
