To provide a treating agent and a cosmetic which heal and prevent a hypertrophic scar, a keloid or the like by the replacement thereof by normal tissues without giving mental and physical stress to a patient.
The skin disease treating or skin disease preventing pharmaceutical composition and the skin disease preventing cosmetic contain lactoferrin. The conventional method of treating a hypertrophic scar and a keloid has included, for example, surgical operation, administration of glucocorticoid or tranilast, and freeze necrosis therapy with liquid nitrogen. This composition or cosmetic enables simple and economical therapy without giving mental and physical stress to a patient by sistemic administration (oral administration, intravenous administration or the like) or by application to an affected part as a preparation for external use and enables safe and simple prevention of the formation of a hypertrophic scar and a keloid.
