To prepare a skin lotion, little in sticky feeling on the skin and excellent in humectant effect by adding a humectant to a system containing a hydrophilic surfactant and a specific liquid oil at a specified ratio.
This skin lotion is obtained by adding a humectant to a system containing a hydrophilic surfactant and a liquid oil having a solubility parameter of 16-19 at a weight ratio of (1:0.01) to (1:10). Further, a water-soluble organic acid and/or its salt is optionally added to the system. The hydrophilic surfactant is preferably triisostearic acid polyoxyethylene glycol, etc. The liquid oil is preferably isononanoic acid isotridecyl, etc. It is preferable that glycerin, etc., is selected as the humectant and the compounding ratio is 0.1-40wt.%, especially about 0.1-25wt.%. This skin lotion has high permeability of the humectant into the skin and high degree of transparency.
