Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin material which is used for the seals of vehicles and has an excellent appearance quality and a good standing pile state and whose ground tissue is not exposed from spaces among the piles in a bent site, even when used in a bent state due to the formation of a seam, or the like.
SOLUTION: This skin material for the seat of a vehicle is characterized by weaving adjacent ground warps 20, 21 with a ground weft 3 in mutually different weaving forms to form the ground tissue 5, holding a cut pile 4 on the weft 3 between positions 20a, 21a where the adjacent ground warps 20, 21 are disposed on the weft 3, thereby holding the cut pile 4 on the weft 3 between the ground warps, and nipping the root portion 4a of the cut pile with the adjacent ground warps 20a, 21a disposed on the weft.
