Abstract:
To provide a skin material capable of eliminating unevenness of brightness in the vicinity of an end part of an optical fiber when light is emitted.SOLUTION: A skin material 1 of the present invention is woven by using side surface light-emitting type optical fibers 3 in at least one of warp and weft and comprises a woven fabric 2 that allows light entering from an end surface of an incident end part 31 that is an end part on one side of the optical fiber and allows the light to be emitted from a side surface 33 of the optical fiber. On a coated end part 34 that is an end part of the other side of the optical fiber, as well as on its end surface 35, a light-absorbing coat 4 is formed. Thereby, it is possible to prevent that only a portion of the woven fabric becomes bright due to light leakage, without causing the light in the optical fiber to leak from the coated end part of the optical fiber and its periphery or to be reflected into the optical fiber.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
