Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject skin preparation for external use, mainly useful as a preparation for preventing and treating acne due to the stimulation of the release of corneum by including serine. SOLUTION: This skin preparation for external use contains serine (L-serine, DL-serine, D-serine) in an amount of 0.001-20.0 wt.%, preferably 0.01-10.0 wt.%, based on the external use for the skin, if necessary, further a UV light absorbent, a UV light-blocking agent, a moisturizing agent, a skin-activating ingredient, and various kinds of vitamins, and is prepared in either of wide preparation forms (aqueous solution form, aerosol form, water-oil two layer form, water-oil- powder three layer form and the like). The serine is prepared e.g. by the racemic resolution of N-(p-nitrobenzyl)-DL-serine with a quinine.
