Abstract:
PURPOSE: To ensure the strength against the plumb load and thrust load by laminating walls and rings alternately, and arranging so that the section area of the undermost part in contact with the base is the greatest and those from the middle part to the uppermost remain constant.
CONSTITUTION: A ring tying beam 3 having a high stiffness is provided upon a base 2 in such a way as embedded therein, and thereover ring beams 5, 6 are provided at the inside surface and outside surface of a skyscraper at a certain spacing in the vertical direction. Ring walls 4, 7 are alternately laminated between these ring beams 5, 6, and beams 8 are furnished radially. The section area of the undermost part in contact with the base 2 is made the greates, to reduce gradually upward, and those from the middle part to the uppermost are left constant. Projections 4a in approx. triangular shape are formed on the peripheral surfaces of the walls 4 at a certain spacing in the circumferential direction in such a way as extending upward spirally. This gives satisfactory strength to the structure against an earthquake or a plumb load and also allows reducing vortices due to the air stream generated along the skyscraper.
