Abstract:
To provide a technique capable of quantifying slag.SOLUTION: A slag quantification method comprises: a luminance value calculation step of capturing an image of a molten metal surface of molten metal stored in a container by an imaging device and calculating a luminance value in each pixel region of the captured image by image processing; a slag surface temperature calculation step of preliminarily acquiring a relation between the luminance value and radiance and, from the relation and a temperature conversion formula, calculating a surface temperature of the slag in each pixel region by using the luminance value calculated in the luminance value calculation step; a slag thickness calculation step of estimating the thickness of the slag for each pixel by the slag surface temperature for every pixel region calculated by the slag surface temperature calculation step and a heat conduction equation; and a slag calculation step of calculating a slag volume or a slag total weight in the container on the basis of the molten metal surface area per one pixel region and the slag physical property value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
