PURPOSE: To stably and continuously transfer the slag of various properties in the titled device by injecting cooling medium from a cooling nozzle to the molds which have discharged slag at the slag discharge part of mold conveyer and is turned upside down.
CONSTITUTION: The mold conveyer 2 is provided under the top end of a slag trough 11 provided on the side wall of a pig-iron trough 10 of blast furnace, and a scraper plate 11 is provided above the trough 11. In the slag transfer device 1 consisting of above-mentioned members, baffer plates 4 are provided on both sides of conveyer 2 of upstream side near the position in which slag 3 is dropped from the trough 11, and side seal plates 5 are provided on both sides of conveyer 2 of downstream side neighboring to the plates 4, and moreover, cooling water injecting nozzles 8 are provided under the return side of the conveyer 2 so as to confront the conveyer 2.
