Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a perfume composition capable of inducing sleep without having adverse effect on physical health, useful for e.g. perfuming beddings, comprising an oris-based perfume, sandalwood-based one and rose-based one.
CONSTITUTION: This composition comprises (A) an oris-based perfume obtained by solvent extraction of the dried rhizome of e.g. Iris-pallida belonging to Iris, (B) a sandalwood perfume obtained by steam distillation of e.g. the root chips of Santalum-album, and (C) a rose-based perfume obtained by steam distillation or solvent extraction of the flowers such as of Rosa-damascena or Rosa- centifelia, at the weight ratio A:B:C=(1-8):(10-50):(2-10).
