A slide mechanism includes a base frame 11, a slide part 12 sliding on the base frame 11, racks 13, 14 disposed on the base frame 11 and facing each other, a pair of pinions 15, 16 which are disposed on the slide part 12 freely rotatably and engaged with the racks 13, 14, and a torsion spring 16 with pins 24, 25 formed at both terminal parts. At the same time, the slide mechanism is configured to engage the pins 24, 25 of the torsion spring 17 at positions eccentric from rotation centers of the pinions 15, 16. The pair of pinions 15, 16 are then rotationally energized by the spring force of the torsion spring 17.
