To provide a slide valve device which can increase a life-span of packing, can maintain high sealing performance over a long period of time, and makes the inside of a valve-body recovery part hardly polluted with reserves.

This slide valve device has: the valve body 14 which opens/closes an opening by advancing/retreating from a direction of crossing the opening; and a driver for advancing/retreating the valve body 14. Constitutionally, the slide valve device is provided with a liquid spraying means for spraying the liquid on a surface of the valve body 14, and a liquid recovering means for recovering the sprayed liquid. Additionally, the slide valve device can also be provided with a valve for supplying the liquid by means of the liquid spraying means or stopping the supply of the liquid, along with the advance/ retreat of the valve body 14.
