To solve the problem that when force operates along a length of a slider made principally of carbon fiber and synthetic resin, there is a risk that the slider cracks and to solve the problem that since a contactor is pressed by a leaf spring, attachment precision is too bad to achieve firm fixation.
A slider holding structure including a slider formed in a plate shape principally of carbon fiber and synthetic resin, a base where the slider is fixed at a predetermined position, and a holding member which holds and fixes the slider to the base is characterized in that: the slider has a slide contact part on one side and a held part on the other side and includes a reference portion at a part of the slider; the base has a holding surface having a predetermined X-axial direction and a Y-axial direction substantially orthogonal to the X-axial direction and a contact part provided at the predetermined position of the base; and the holding member has a press surface and is fixed to the base while the slider is positioned by sandwiching the held part between the holding surface and press surface and bringing the reference portion into contact with the contact part.
