Abstract:
To provide a sliding constant velocity universal joint securing strength and durability with respect to use conditions requiring a high angle of a maximum operation angle and a high angle of a normal operation angle.SOLUTION: In a sliding constant velocity universal joint 1 which includes six torque transmission balls 4, and in which a center of curvature O1 of a spherical outer peripheral surface 11 and a center of curvature O2 of a spherical inner peripheral surface 12 of a cage 5 are offset to opposite sides in an axial direction with respect to a joint center O, the sliding constant velocity universal joint 1 is used at a normal operation angle of 8°-12°, a ratio DBALL/DSPCD of a diameter DBALL of the torque transmission ball 4 and a spline pitch circle diameter DSPCD of a connection hole 13 of an inner joint member 3 is 0.80-0.86, a contact angle α of the torque transmission ball 4 and linear track grooves 7, 9 is 32°-35°, and a contact rate ψ of the torque transmission ball 4 and the linear track grooves 7, 9 is 1.05-1.08.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
