To provide a sliding door device capable of turning at a central part of a sliding door to store the same by providing a running guide magnetically attracted and capable of being mounted and demounted, at both sides of upper end of the sliding door body, and providing a running type hanging unit slidably engaged with a running rail at an upper end center.
Door front and rear part running guides 2, 3 are arranged such that the positions thereof are shifted to the front a rear surface directions in the thickness direction of a sliding door body 1, and the guides 2, 3 are formed of rotary bodies of rubber/magnet material or the like. A running type hanging unit 4 is provided at almost the center of upper end and is engaged with a running support piece of an upper rail 5 so as to be slidable. In allowing the sliding door body 1 to run, rotating members of the door front and rear part running guides 2, 3 are respectively magnetically attracted to a plate provided on an outer surface of part vertically extending downward of the upper rail 5 and rotated to run smoothly. In storage, the sliding door body 1 is made to run to one end side of the rail 5, and the body 1 is rotated around a support of the running type hanging unit 4 by pressing a side edge. Accordingly, no wide space is required in storing the body 1, thereby improving the convenience in use.
